Before you publish this page: this is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. It does not name a governing law, a jurisdiction, a payment or refund position, or the contract between you and each society. Have it reviewed by a lawyer before you rely on it.
1. What this is
Nestra is software for running a housing society, provided by [your company name]. By using the apps or the web panel you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your own phone number. Do not use someone else's.
- The login code we send is yours alone — anyone who has it can sign in as you. Never pass it on, including to someone claiming to be from us or from your committee. We will never ask you for it.
- Tell us or your committee promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
- Signing out ends your session on every device.
3. Your society decides who gets in
Membership of a society within the app is approved by that society's committee, and a tenant or family member is approved by the flat's owner. We do not decide who belongs to your society and we cannot admit you over your committee's objection.
When your membership ends — you move out, a lease ends, or the committee revokes it — your access to that society's records ends with it.
4. What you may not do
- Use another resident's account, or act for a flat that is not yours
- Issue gate passes, out-passes or alerts for a flat you do not belong to
- Post anything unlawful, threatening, harassing or deliberately false in notices, the forum, complaints or listings
- Use the member directory for marketing, or to collect neighbours' details for any purpose outside the society
- Attempt to reach another society's data, or to probe, disrupt or overload the service
- List anything for sale that you may not lawfully sell
Breaking these can cost you access, and your committee will be told.
5. Content you post
Notices, complaints, forum posts, listings and photos remain yours. By posting them you allow us to store and display them within your society for as long as it uses the service. You are responsible for what you post, and for having the right to post it.
Your committee can remove content from their society. We can remove content that breaks these terms.
6. Money
Maintenance charges, penalties and amenity fees are set by your society, not by us. Questions about what you have been charged go to your committee.
Online payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway. When a payment succeeds we record it against your bill and issue a receipt. If a payment is taken and the bill is not updated, tell your committee and us, and we will reconcile it against the gateway's record.
7. Marketplace and rentals
Listings are between residents. We are not a party to any sale, rental or lease, we do not verify items or check anyone's title to a flat beyond confirming that the person listing it is recorded as its owner, and we hold no money for these transactions. Satisfy yourself before you pay anyone anything.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. Maintenance, hosting problems and network failures happen.
The apps are not an emergency service. The SOS feature notifies guards and administrators who happen to be signed in. It is not a substitute for calling the police, the fire service or an ambulance, and you must not rely on it as one.
9. Ending it
You may stop using the apps at any time. Your society may end your membership. Either of us may end this arrangement; records the society is obliged to keep will remain in the society's books.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app, and the date above will change.
